Overwatch 2 has generated quite a lot of stir online ever since it launched. And while there were some issues with the game, the title has generated more than 25 million players. It’s a very engaging game and they are preparing to bring in a new season starting next week. Which is why we have to wonder, what can we expect from Overwatch 2 Season 3?
There are quite a lot of interesting things, including reworks and updates to the current roster. But maybe the most exciting thing is obviously a new map. The new map is called Antarctic Peninsula, and here you can find fishing spots, penguins, and other cool stuff.
This is a Control map, and there are 3 main points to capture. One of the places is a science lab, then there’s a place near the mining drill, and the third one is actually on an icebreaker ship. There are also natural paths of snow and ice, which apparently were very hard to do based on what developers say.
But the great thing here is that the game is indeed bringing in a very different approach to this new map. The downside to Overwatch 2 season 3 is that, unlike the first two seasons, there is no new hero. That’s a bit of an issue, but it’s still showing that yes, Overwatch 2 can still provide quite a bit of entertainment, even if there’s no new hero this time around.
Adding in a new map is much needed and what’s really interesting is that this is the first map in a while based on a real location. With that in mind, they did try to make it as realistic as possible. Apparently, the developers also stated that you will find some easter eggs spread around the map too, all of which pertain to Overwatch and Blizzard games.
Overwatch 2 season 3 starts on February 7th and there is a lot of excitement surrounding the title. It’s easy to see why, since Overwatch 2 is played by a lot of people and plenty of great gameplay moments already take place every day. With the new update they are bringing in something even more interesting and this new map seems to be the most visually impressive one too. It’s a good idea to get started for Overwatch 2 season 3, even if there’s no new hero this time around.
