Hopeful rumors of a Metal Gear Solid remake have this week surfaced online. The news coming from Spanish outlet Areajugones, who claim to have been contacted by anonymous sources. Reportedly, the Metal Gear Solid remake will be a PS5 exclusive and will be announced soon.

With a record of predicting upcoming events in the gaming world before official confirmation, the Spanish outlet Areajugones goes on to say that at this stage it is only a rumor/leak and they can not confirm that the information that has reached them about a Metal Gear Solid Remake is 100% accurate.

They go on to say that this is the information they possibly have on a remake.
- The game has been in development for several years.
- Metal Gear Solid Remake would be a game that would only be released on PS5 , so like Demon’s Souls, it would not come to PS4.
- There is no data on the study that is working on it or its release date.
- The announcement would be “soon”, which covers weeks or months.
Released in 1998 the Konami stealth game Metal Gear Solid is regarded as one of the greatest and most important video games of all time.
Directed, produced, and written by Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid went on to produce numerous sequels including Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (2001), Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (2004) & the most recent Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (2015).
With nothing confirmed yet fans of the Metal Gear Solid franchise will eagerly await any officially news on the remake of this classic game that popularized the stealth gaming genre.
