Turtle Rock Studios already working on a new game!
Back 4 Blood is one of the games that was highly anticipated for a variety of reasons. For starters, it’s a successor to Left For Dead, and it managed to fill the coop zombie game niche pretty well. However, ever since its beta a lot of people were not happy with the game and the way they created it. Which is why it was a bit of a problem for players to get into it.
However, Turtle Rock Studios which is the developer of the game did not stop and they created 3 different expansions. Named Tunnels of Terror, Children of the Worm, and River of Blood, we had quite a lot of different and exciting adventures along with new cards and other content. But it seems that it’s all coming to a close.
Apparently, Turtle Rock is quite small for creating these large AAA games, and they are not able to continue working on Back 4 Blood anymore since the game has already been out and most of the sales already came from it. Which is why the studio is heading towards a new game that they plan on working. They did say that any bug fixes or solutions to issues will be provided and the game will remain active, of course. But it’s clear that they are not sharing any more content updates.
Which is a shame, because even though it had its fair share of issues, Back 4 Blood was a lot of fun and extremely engaging. This is one of those games that a lot of people enjoyed playing with friends and the maps were quite good too. That’s why we are sad to see Back 4 Blood go, as a lot of people were expecting a potential season pass 2 to arrive. Yet it seems that’s not the case, and what we will get is another game from the studio in the years to come.
There are no details about what Turtle Rock Studios is working on next. But we do know that Back 4 Blood is still active and it does have quite a lot of players too. Which is why it can be a great idea to still check it out, especially now when it’s feature complete and with 3 great expansions under the belt too.
